Evita London Tickets
The all-time classic show by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Evita is
all set to re-open the Dominion Theatre. The newly refurbished Dominion Theatre
is ready to mark its re-opening with an immensely successful London show
featuring Marti Pellow. This spectacular production has recently covered hugely
acclaimed UK tour which stars Marti Pellow as Che and Madalena Alberto as
Evita.
The sensational
classic is one of the most loved and successful shows by Rice and Webber. This
is one of the most popular musicals featuring some of the chartbusting musical
numbers such as “Don’t Cry for me Argentina” “Another Suitcase in Another
Hall”, “You Must Love Me”, and “High Flying Adored”.
The magnificent
London show, Evita will run for two hours and fifteen minutes and follows the
real life saga of Evita Peron. She started her life from humble background in a
slum in Argentina and went on becoming one of the most powerful political
figures in the history of Argentina. The show ends with her tragic death. The character
of Che narrates the show, Evita and has been reflected by the perception of
Argentine people.
Elaine Paige
featured in the original production and won the prestigious Olivier Award for
Best Musical in the year 1978. The Broadway production has been a huge success
with winning the Tony Award for Best Musical and set a record by becoming the
first British Musical. In the year 1996 an award winning movie has been made
with the same title Evita which starred Madonna and Antonio Banderas.
Pellow is a renowned
name in musicals and has performed in various musicals such as Blood Brothers,
Chicago, The Witches of Eastwick and Jekyll and Hyde. The show Evita will be a
tremendous experience under the spell binding direction of Bob Thomson and Bill
Kenwright. The show will reopen the Dominion Theatre and will run there for a
limited time.
